I am an expert in the cross-border mobility of high-skilled professionals

How do professionals find work and reboot their lives in a new place? How does family mobility affect daily life and education decisions for children? How can we create better, more inclusive and internationally aware environments in companies, schools, and social spaces?

I am professor of sociology at the University of Copenhagen. I lead research project teams, mentor early career scholars, serve in leadership roles, and teach subjects like gender, ethnicity, post-colonialism, and sociology of education.

Consultancy

I give research and practice-grounded advice and support to major businesses around onboarding and retention of high-skilled professionals. Separately, I advise international schools in Copenhagen and beyond on strategy development and governance, as well as social justice and belonging work.

Research

I often co-design and conduct research projects focused directly on the needs of companies and schools. The results are used to produce strategic practitioner and policy-oriented tools, as well as being published in academic journals.
